Was it a dream?
It must have been
And yet? No, I am sure
I am sure it was not
But it seems like a dream
Sometimes it seems
There is so much I forgot
And yet so much I remember still

I can still feel your touch
Feel your fingers upon my skin
I can still feel your lips
Full and moist, as they cover mine
Feel your hair between my fingers
Like silk so soft and fine
See your lovely brown eyes
Deep, warm and sparkling
See your broad smile
The crinkles around your eyes
Smell your cologne
As I inhale it from around your neck

Remember what it felt like
Felt like to sit with you
Your arm draped around my shoulders
Your fingers playing with my hair
Your mouth covering my ear
The shivers it sent through me
The warm glow it gave me
To sit with you there

Such a simple thing
To sit next to someone else
And yet with you...
Such a special thing
The way it made me shine
The way I felt like I belonged
It felt so right, so right
Yet now it seems so long ago
Now it seems like a dream
